Part 1 - Landscapes and Other Related Things.
Back when we made the big change over to DK4 I was one of the unfortunate ones to
I've been a Landscape Photographer, as a hobby, for about 30 years and decided it would be nice to share one of my images each week with the Mojo group. I figured people might like the pictures, breaking up the monotony of the threads and maybe I'd get a little extra mojo for them to boot.
After hanging out on Fridays for a few weeks I discovered that the Mojo group didn't just get together on Fridays but actually continue to post in the thread all week. I've been here at DKos for a long time and have been a regular, logging in when I get to work each day and keeping DKos open in a tab all day. Then I'd check in once or twice on the weekends to get caught up. But in all that time I've never really gotten to know anyone or any group of people.
So here I am hanging out with the Mojo group and at some point someone suggested I post more of my pictures, not wait till Fridays. I thought about it and decided that instead of posting old pictures that I would challenge myself to take a new picture everyday. My goal was to shoot each picture with my iPhone, edit that image and then upload it to Photobucket from my iPhone. There have been a few times where I've gone ahead and imported the image to my computer so I could do some editing in Photoshop and I have used one image that was taken with my Nikon but other than those few exceptions I've manage to meet that goal almost all of the time.
About a month or so ago someone in the Mojo thread mentioned that I had taken quite a few pictures since starting this once a day thing, I asked if anyone was interested in me doing a diary where I posted all the images I've done and they liked the idea. Problem is that I've taken close to 90 images now since I started this back in early August. I've managed to pair that number down to the low 50's but that's still too many for one diary. So, I'm going to do this over 3 diaries.
Part 1 of this diary trillogy is going to be titled, "Landscapes and Other Related Things."
